VoltGuard Electrical Solutions is a premier provider of commercial and industrial electrical services in the Chicago metropolitan area. We are currently seeking a Senior Electrician to lead our high-profile commercial division.
In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems in state-of-the-art commercial buildings. Responsibility
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, conduits, panels, and fixtures in commercial environments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical code specifications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Ensure all work adheres strictly to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local safety regulations.
- Supervise and mentor electrical apprentices and junior technicians.
- Collaborate with project managers and general contractors to ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on electrical systems.
Qualification
- Valid State of Illinois Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved apprenticeship program preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial or industrial electrical fields.
- In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or high elevations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service-oriented attitude.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
