Responsibility
- Research and report on breaking news and trending topics across local, national, and international beats.
- Conduct inâdepth interviews with sources, experts, and community members to gather accurate, balanced information.
- Write clear, concise, and SEOâfriendly articles that adhere to AP style and house editorial guidelines.
- Develop dataâdriven stories using public records, analytics tools, and investigative techniques.
- Collaborate with editors, photographers, and multimedia producers to create compelling multimedia packages.
- Maintain a strong social media presence, engaging with readers and promoting content across platforms.
Qualification
- Bachelorâs degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3â5 years of professional journalism experience, with a proven portfolio of published work.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and factâchecking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in SEO best practices, content management systems (CMS), and analytics tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and onâcall assignments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive topics with empathy and professionalism.
