Responsibility
- Operate and maintain fishing gear including nets, lines, and traps.
- Assist in navigating the vessel and ensure safe operations.
- Process, handle, and store catches according to quality standards.
- Perform regular vessel maintenance and safety checks.
- Monitor fish stocks and adapt techniques accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with all U.S. Coast Guard regulations and environmental guidelines.
- Collaborate with crew during fishing and docking operations.
Qualification
- At least 2 years of commercial fishing experience.
- Strong physical fitness and adaptability to harsh marine conditions.
- Proficiency in fishing techniques and gear maintenance.
- Valid U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) or ability to obtain.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
- Commitment to working long hours during peak seasons.
