We're seeking seasoned commercial fishermen to operate our modern vessels in the rich waters of the Bering Sea and North Pacific. Responsibility
- Operate and maintain fishing vessels including gear deployment, navigation, and safety systems
- Execute sustainable harvesting techniques for species including salmon, halibut, and crab
- Adhere to strict federal and state fishing regulations and catch documentation
- Perform routine vessel maintenance and equipment troubleshooting at sea
- Collaborate with crew on deck operations including sorting, icing, and stowing catches
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust fishing strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate logbooks and catch records for reporting purposes
Qualification
- Minimum 3 years commercial fishing experience with documented sea time
- Valid USCG Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with Able Seaman rating
- Proficiency in vessel navigation, radar operation, and GPS systems
- Strong understanding of Pacific Northwest marine ecosystems and migration patterns
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in harsh weather conditions
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, and survival at sea (STCW-95 preferred)
- Valid driver's license and clean background check
