Responsibility
- Expertly operate espresso machines, grinders, and manual brew equipment to deliver consistently exceptional beverages.
- Cultivate a warm, welcoming atmosphere by engaging with customers and educating them on the origins and flavor profiles of our coffee.
- Maintain a pristine, organized workspace in full compliance with stringent health and safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management including ordering, receiving, and rotating coffee and supplies.
- Participate in regular team cupping sessions and training to continuously refine techniques and deepen product knowledge.
- Handle financial transactions accurately using our modern point-of-sale system.
- Support the roastery team with sample roasting and quality assurance protocols as needed.
- Execute opening and closing duties, ensuring equipment and facilities are ready for service excellence.
Qualification
- Minimum 2 years of professional barista experience in a specialty coffee environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in latte art and a deep understanding of modern coffee extraction theory.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and an authentic passion for the hospitality industry.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for entire shift duration.
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and early morning shifts starting at 5:30 AM.
- SCA Barista Skills certification or Q-Grader qualification is a distinguished plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background is required.
- Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) is preferred.
