Responsibility
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure the highest quality and freshness of all food items, minimizing waste.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
- Collaborate with the head chef and team to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
- Adhere to all health department regulations and food safety protocols.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient kitchen environment.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Food handler certification (ServSafe or equivalent) is a plus.
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
