Responsibility
- Design and execute innovative, seasonal menus aligned with the restaurant's culinary vision and guest preferences.
- Lead, mentor, and schedule a team of 20+ culinary professionals, fostering creativity and accountability.
- Manage food cost, inventory, and vendor relationships to achieve budget targets without compromising quality.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to develop special events, tasting menus, and private dining experiences.
- Monitor plate presentation and food consistency, maintaining the highest level of excellence.
- Implement sustainable sourcing practices and reduce kitchen waste.
Qualification
- Minimum 7 years of progressive culinary leadership experience in high-volume fine dining or luxury hospitality.
- Formal culinary arts degree or equivalent professional training (e.g., CIA or Le Cordon Bleu).
- Proven track record of menu innovation, cost control, and team development.
- Deep knowledge of global cuisines, modern techniques, and seasonal ingredients.
- ServSafe Manager certification and strong understanding of NYC health code regulations.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
