Responsibility
- Craft a variety of espresso-based beverages and pour-over coffees to exacting standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and workstations.
- Educate customers on our coffee origins and brewing methods.
- Operate POS system and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during peak hours.
- Participate in regular training sessions and coffee tastings.
- Stock and rotate inventory, alerting management of low supplies.
Qualification
- At least 1 year of experience as a barista in a specialty coffee shop.
- Excellent knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, including espresso extraction and milk texturing.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to engage with a diverse clientele.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Passion for continued learning and growth in the coffee industry.
- Food handler's permit or ability to obtain one.
