Welcome to The Golden Fork Bistro, a premier dining destination in the heart of San Francisco. We are currently seeking a professional and enthusiastic Waiter/Waitress to join our frontâofâhouse team and deliver an exceptional guest experience.
In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our guests, guiding them through our seasonal menu, making recommendations, and ensuring every visit is memorable. We pride ourselves on a dynamic, supportive work environment that encourages growth and development.
Responsibility
- Greet and seat guests promptly, maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Present menus, answer questions, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks.
- Accurately record and manage orders using the pointâofâsale (POS) system.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Anticipate guest needs, such as refilling glasses, offering desserts, or addressing special requests.
- Handle billing transactions, process payments, and issue receipts with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including table settings and side stations.
Qualification
- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a fastâpaced restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Basic computer skills and experience with POS systems.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Teamâoriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen and management staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent; food handler certification preferred.
