Responsibility
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Present menus and provide detailed descriptions of menu items, daily specials, and beverage options.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system and relay them to the kitchen promptly.
- Monitor tables attentively to anticipate guests’ needs and refill beverages as necessary.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely and professional manner.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and address any concerns with empathy and efficiency.
- Process payments accurately, handle cash and credit transactions, and issue receipts.
- Assist with table clearing, resetting, and maintaining a clean, organized dining area.
Qualification
- Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or server in a fast-paced restaurant environment (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-oriented attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure during peak hours.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and change.
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine and cocktail pairings.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Valid food handler’s permit or willingness to obtain one.
